FLOODLIGHT,ELECTRIC

An item which conforms to Light (1), and is designed to project a broad beam of light for relatively even illumination over a wide area. It must include reflector(s) and mounting facilities and may include accessories. Excludes items which can be adjusted to function as a SEARCHLIGHT or a SPOTLIGHT. See also SEARCHLIGHT; SPOTLIGHT and LIGHT, PHOTOGRAPHIC.

SPOTLIGHT

An item which conforms to Light (1), and is designed to project a sharply defined conical beam of light for high intensity illumination of a relatively nearby object(s). Includes items which can be adjusted to function as a FLOODLIGHT, ELECTRIC. See also FLOODLIGHT, ELECTRIC; LIGHT, PHOTOGRAPHIC and SEARCHLIGHT.

ADAPTER,CAMERA TO INDICATOR

An item constructed to electrically and mechanically provide facilities for the accommodation of a camera and an indicator for interrelated operation.

FLOODLIGHT SET,ELECTRIC

Two or more different components and items which comprise a complete floodlight system. May include operating spares and/or accessories. Excludes FLOOD LIGHT ASSEMBLY.

HOLDER,MIRROR

FLOODLIGHT ASSEMBLY

An item which conforms to Light Assembly (1), and which consists of two or more floodlights.

SLIDE RULE

A device having several standard scales for performing arithmetical, algebraical, and trigonometrical calculations by mechanical means.

LENS,VIEW FINDER,PHOTOGRAPHIC

A lens attached to, built into, or for use in conjunction with a camera to indicate the area of subject matter included in the field of view of the camera lens.

LENS,SUPPLEMENTARY

An auxiliary lens which is used in combination with a regular lens to increase or decrease focal length.

LENS,CONDENSER,PHOTOGRAPHIC

This lens is designed for use in condensers. It will be used for the collection and distribution of radiation in projection and enlarging systems.

LENS,CAMERA,AERIAL MAPPING

This lens is designed to photograph ground images to true relative scale for use in accurate aerial mapping. It will be used at or near infinity focus and it usually will have a flat field. The distortion characteristics in this type of lens are usually designated and controlled within precise limits.

LENS,CAMERA,AERIAL RECONNAISSANCE

This lens is designed to photograph ground images for use in aerial reconnaissance. It will be used at or near infinity focus and it usually will have low distortion and a flat field.

LENS,CAMERA,COPYING

This lens is designed for use in reproduction from flat copy. It will be used at or near unity magnification. It usually differs from a LENS (3), PROCESS, PHOTOLITHOGRAPHIC, in that it has greater lens speed and less correction of aberrations.

LENS,CAMERA,GENERAL PHOTOGRAPHIC

This lens is designed for use in view camera and handheld still cameras. It will be used to photograph both near and distant objects.

LENS,CAMERA,MOTION PICTURE

This lens is designed for use in motion picture cameras. It will be used to photograph both near and distant objects. This type of lens differs from a LENS (3), CAMERA, GENERAL PHOTOGRAPHIC, in that it usually is of a shorter focal length and smaller field of view.

LENS,CAMERA,PORTRAIT

This lens is designed for use in portrait photography. It will be used to photograph both near and distant objects. It usually differs from LENS (3), CAMERA, GENERAL PHOTOGRAPHIC, in that it has less correction of aberrations.

LENS,ENLARGER

This lens is designed for use in photographic enlargers. It will be used at finite magnifications, it usually will have low color aberrations, and, in certain applications, distortion characteristics will be designated and controlled within precise limits.

LENS,MICROPHOTOGRAPHIC

This lens is designed for use in microfilming and microcopying. It usually will be used at magnifications between 0.1 and 0.024.

LENS,PHOTOMICROGRAPHIC

This lens is designed for use in photomicrography. It will be used with the object at the shorter conjugate.

LENS,PROCESS,PHOTOLITHOGRAPHIC

This lens is designed for use in photolithography, process work, and precise reproduction from flat copy. It will be used at or near unity magnification. In this type of lens, lateral and longitudinal chromatic aberrations, secondary spectrum, and distortion are corrected to a high degree.

LENS,PROJECTION

This lens is designed for use as an objective lens in motion picture, film strip, opaque, slide, and overhead projectors. It will be used at finite magnification and will have a flat field. This type of lens usually differs from a LENS (3), ENLARGER, in that it is faster, covers a smaller field of view, and has less correction of aberrations.

LENS CONE,AERIAL CAMERA

An item designed to be attached to the body of an aerial camera. It must include the lens and all associated mechanisms necessary for complete operation of the lens cone.

REEL,PHOTOGRAPHIC FILM

An item upon which processed film is wound for convenience of storage, handling or showing. The flanged ends are not light tight, being of open or spoke design. Excludes SPOOL, PHOTOGRAPHIC FILM.

SPOOL,PHOTOGRAPHIC FILM

An item upon which unexposed or raw stock film is wound for storage and/or for insertion into a camera. The flanged ends are solid and opaque to protect the film from light.

METER,PHOTOGRAPHIC EXPOSURE

An instrument which measures the quantity of light reflected from or on a subject in exposure units by means of a photoelectric cell. This figure, when used in conjunction with an integral table or a calculator, gives a suitable exposure time and lens aperture for the emulsion speed of the negative material used. See also COMPUTER, PHOTOGRAPHIC EXPOSURE.

DOLLY,CAMERA

A hand-propelled device of three or more wheels attached to a frame and designed for carrying, supporting, or positioning a mounted or unmounted CAMERA (as modified). It may have a steering device, provision for seating operator, hydraulic and/or manually operated boom or mast.

FLASH GUN,PHOTOGRAPHIC

BACKGROUND,STUDIO,PHOTOGRAPHIC

A specially prepared screen, usually of cloth or canvas, used behind the principal figure or figures in a photograph to accentuate the main object or subject.

FLANGE,STRIPPING AND MOUNTING,PHOTOGRAPHIC FILM

A single or double disk with stationary or sliding hub or hubs, used for stripping or mounting film. See also REEL, PHOTOGRAPHIC FILM.

DENSITOMETER

A device designed to measure the optical density of an item.

SHADE,PHOTOGRAPHIC LENS

A shade to keep extraneous light from the surface of a lens.

CASE,PHOTOGRAPHIC EQUIPMENT

A specifically designed case, usually of rigid construction provided with a means of closure and provisions for carrying. The case may have special padding, pockets and/or partitions.

CLOTH,FOCUSING,PHOTOGRAPHIC

A black opaque material placed over the head and shoulders of the photographer and the back of the camera to exclude extraneous light while focusing on the ground glass of a view camera.

INTERVALOMETER,AIRCRAFT CAMERA

A control, which when connected to an aircraft camera of suitable type, will automatically trip the camera at predetermined intervals. See also CONTROL, EXPOSURE FREQUENCY, RADAR RECORDING CAMERA.

MAGAZINE,FILM

A light-proof, removable container of rigid metal or plastic, carrying film for loading into cameras. It may be reusable and equipped with mechanisms that advance and position the film for exposure.

CONTROL,EXPOSURE FREQUENCY,RADAR RECORDING CAMERA

An item that automatically programs the operation of a camera in photographing predetermined scan sequences appearing on the face of a radar set indicator. See also INTERVALOMETER, AIRCRAFT CAMERA.

TUBE,LENS EXTENSION

A threaded tube which may be fastened between the lens and the camera to permit focusing on objects closer than the normal lens mount will permit.

FLASH UNIT,PHOTOGRAPHIC,REPEATING

An electrically operated item consisting of an electronic flash tube, a reflector and usually includes an integral power supply. The power unit furnishes the proper energy to operate the flash tube at repeated intervals to provide an extremely high intensity of light for photographic purposes. Excludes FLASH ASSEMBLY, AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY.

CABINET,PHOTOGRAPHIC STORAGE,FILM

An item of furniture designed specifically for storage of processed or unprocessed photographic film. It is usually insulated or light-tight and may incorporate fire, fume, andhumidity control devices. It may have drawers and/or compartments and may have attached a trimming knife and film rewinders.

TESTER,FLASH SYNCHRONIZER,PHOTOGRAPHIC

A device which is used to check the accuracy of flash synchronization with the camera shutter and to indicate the adjustment necessary to give perfect synchronization.

LIGHT,PHOTOGRAPHIC

An item consisting of one or more lampholders with reflector(s) usually mounted or capable of being mounted on a stand, tripod, or having facilities for attaching to a wall, ceiling or other surface. Specifically designed to provide a broad beam of even illumination for photographic purposes. See also FLOODLIGHT, ELECTRIC, and SPOTLIGHT.

TRIPOD,PHOTOGRAPHIC

A device with three vertically adjustable or nonadjustable legs, hinged or permanently affixed to, and may include a mounting plate or head, designed to support various types of photographic or video equipment. Excludes DOLLY, CAMERA; STAND (1), CAMERA, PHOTOGRAPHIC STUDIO and STAND (1), PROJECTOR, PHOTOGRAPHIC.

VIEW FINDER,PHOTOGRAPHIC,AERIAL MAPPING AND RECONNAISSANCE

An instrument designed for use in conjunction with aircraft cameras. It provides a clear unobstructed view of the terrain below and in some cases, ahead of the aircraft for the photographer or navigator. It provides a means for determining the correct exposure interval. It may also include optical drift system for determining ground speed or angular drift. Excludes view finder, camera; view finder, camera, television and VIEW FINDER, CAMERA, PHOTOGRAPHIC.

STAND,LIGHT

A stand designed to accommodate various types of illuminating devices such as SPOTLIGHT; FLOODLIGHT; LIGHT, DESK and the like. It may be adjustable and may be provided with casters and fixed or adjustable arm(s) or boom(s).

VIEWING STAND,ILLUMINATED,NEGATIVE FILM

An item containing fluorescent, incandescent, and/or a combination of both types of lamps, with plain ground glass, or plastic top, designed for viewing, inspecting, and/or retouching negatives or other photographic material used in lithographic and/or photographic processing.

ADAPTER,PHOTOGRAPHIC ROLL FILM

A holder for attaching a roll film to a ground glass focusing back camera.

CAP,LENS

A cap designed to conform to the general shape of a lens.

CAP,LENS MOUNTING

A cap designed to fit the opening of a lens mount on removal of the lens.

A device without lens, with or without a diaphragm, which permits light to pass through it for a predetermined length of time for photographic purposes.

LOADER,FILM,PHOTOGRAPHIC

An item designed for daylight loading of film cartridges, cassettes or spools from bulk film. It consists of a light-proof storage compartment for bulk film and a film leading section. It also includes an integral counter.

MASK,PRINTING,PHOTOGRAPHIC

An item with a die-cut opening to limit the light of a photographic printer to that area of a negative desired for exposure.

An item designed to restrain and position a light color rendering device.

An item consisting of a gray scale, color patches, and register marks. The color patches and gray scale are intended for inclusion in the original scene to be photographed and serve in identifying and balancing color negatives and as a check on matrix exposure times. The register marks are used in masking and double exposure techniques.

TITLE BOARD SET,PHOTOGRAPHIC

An item consisting of a board, together with a set of alphabetic and/or numerical characters which are temporarily attached to or inserted on the posting area for the purpose of titling pictures photographically.

CABLE RELEASE,PHOTOGRAPHIC SHUTTER

A mechanical device made of a flexible metallic shaft in a cloth or metal braided sheath with a push button attached to a retracting spring at one end and threaded on the other end for insertion into the camera shutter's cable release socket.

RACK,STORAGE,MOTION PICTURE FILM

An open frame structure specifically designed for film storage in which each reel, with or without can, is held in an upright position in its own subdivision.

COMPUTER,PHOTOGRAPHIC EXPOSURE

A computer used to determine the correct exposure in terms of shutter speed and lens aperture from known lighting conditions and film emulsion speed. Excludes METER, PHOTOGRAPHIC EXPOSURE.

An item consisting of a magnifying lens, a ground glass with centering lines, and a mirror. It is used to facilitate critical focusing of small areas of projected images, the image being reflected by the mirror upon the ground glass and viewed through the magnifying lens.

A colored sheet of gelatin film, glass, plastic or colored gelatin used in conjunction with a lens for the purpose of altering the effective color sensitivity of the film.

A case specifically designed for storing and transporting film magazines. It does not contain means for carrying.

LENS BOARD,PHOTOGRAPHIC

A removable item attached to the front of the camera, with or without a hole for mounting a photographic lens.

PLASTIC SHEET SET

An item consisting of two pieces of plastic, greater than 6 inches (152.4 millimeters) in width, one or both pieces of which may be pressure sensitive adhesive coated and may have a removable backing. PLASTIC STRIP SET

An item consisting of two pieces of plastic, six inches (152.4 millimeters) or less in width, one or both pieces of which may be pressure sensitive adhesive coated and may have a removable backing. The set is designed for bonding between the two pieces such items as cards, records, and the like, for preservation and toprevent alteration. See also PLASTIC SHEET SET.

EYEGUARD,OPTICAL INSTRUMENT

An item externally or internally threaded on one end, designed to be attached to the viewing end of an eyepiece. It is used to prevent physical contact of the observers' eye(s) with the eye lens(es) and protect the lens(es) from damage. Excludes EYESHIELD, OPTICAL INSTRUMENT; and VISOR (as modified).

LEG,TRIPOD MOUNT

An item which, in conjunction with two similar items, aids in the support of a machine gun, recoilless gun, rifle or the like. It is a component of a MOUNT, TRIPOD (as modified); or a TRIPOD, RIFLE MOUNT; and may be a single or sectional item with an integral or nonintegral foot. Excludes LEG, GUN MOUNT. LEG SECTION,TRIPOD MOUNT

An item which in itself is not a complete functioning item. It consists of parts which, together with other similar parts, form a LEG, TRIPOD MOUNT.

LENS,RECORDING

This lens is designed for use in recording instruments or fluorescent screen presentation. It will be used at a finite magnification and it generally will be of special design to meet the specific requirements.

PROGRAM BOARD ASSEMBLY

A control (programmed) board grouped with one or more component board(s). It may include patchboards or terminal boards assembled on a common mounting which provides a point of convenient interconnections by use of plugs, patchcords, or other means of connecting electrical circuits and is designed to be programmed (prewired) to create the circuit required for a given operation. A light filter which reduces the intensity of the light without changing the relative spectral distribution of the energy.

A thin flexible sheet, strip, or roll of cellulose nitrate, acetate, or similar substance covered with a material which has been exposed to suitable radiations, and has been treated chemically to produce a visible image.

A device usually consisting of valves, pressure regulators, temperature regulators, and the like. It is designed to be attached to hot and cold water plumbing connections for mixing hot and cold water to a constant predetermined temperature for photographic processing.

INSPECTING MACHINE,MOTION PICTURE FILM

An electrically operated machine which is designed to inspect motion picture film for detecting defects such as enlarged or torn sprocket holes, sprocket punches, weak splices, broken film, and automatically halts operation with the defective portion of the film in proper position to permit splicing. It does not include facilities for viewing or splicing the film. Excludes EDITOR, MOTION PICTURE FILM; VIEWER, MOTION PICTURE FILM and VIEWING MACHINE, MOTION PICTURE.

TITLER,AERIAL ROLL FILM

A device consisting primarily of a base plate, side supports, a carriage and a type assembly. It is designed to apply inked titles to individual frames of photographic aerial roll film negatives.

TANK,MIXING,PHOTOGRAPHIC CHEMICAL SOLUTION

A tank, usually cylindrical, designed to be used for mixing and storing photographic chemical solutions. It may be equipped with faucet, stand or base, and motor mixer mount.

TONGS SET,PHOTOGRAPHIC PRINT

A group of TONGS, PHOTOGRAPHIC PRINT of contrasting colors, or with special markings. The items within the set are of equal length.

SQUEEGEE ASSEMBLY,PHOTOGRAPHIC FILM

A pair of opposed blades mounted on a frame, for wiping excess moisture from photographic film. May include a spool holder.

ROLLER,FILM

A cylindrical item used to transport film in a camera, processor or projector and the like. It may include attaching hardware such as pins, brackets, braces and the like.

An item designed to display and measure the audio-visual properties of FILM, PHOTOGRAPHIC and FILM, PHOTOGRAPHIC, PROCESSED. The item may include an associated video system and/or computer.

FRAME,PHOTOGRAPHIC EQUIPMENT

An item designed primarily to hold photographic film or paper during the processing, developing or printing stages. Excludes FRAME, PHOTOGRAPHIC PRINTING.

MOUNTER,FILM,PHOTOGRAPHIC

An item or collection of items used to mount FILM, PHOTOGRAPHIC or FILM, PHOTOGRAPHIC, PROCESSED to a MOUNT, FILM SLIDE, PHOTOGRAPHIC. It may include printing capabilities and/or automatic data processing capabilities as well as boxing or packaging facility.

SLIDE MAKER,PHOTOGRAPHIC

An item or collection of items which are used to process a variety of media material onto a FILM, PHOTOGRAPHIC, PROCESSED. The input media may be print, photographic, video or automatic data processing format. Accessory equipment may include video recording/reproducing equipment and/or automatic data processing equipment. RACK,PHOTOGRAPHIC PROCESSOR

An item that is made up of plates, brackets, rollers and the like. It is used to move negatives, film or paper through processing steps such as developing, fixing, washing and drying in an automatic processor.

MODIFICATION KIT,PHOTOGRAPHIC EQUIPMENT

An item or items employed to modify photographic equipment.

SPOOL,PHOTOGRAPHIC PROCESSING TANK

An item upon which exposed film is wound, for insertion into a TANK, PROCESSING, PHOTOGRAPHIC for processing. The item is insusceptible to photographic chemicals.

PROCESSOR-VIEWER,PHOTOGRAPHIC FILM

An item which completely processes photographic film by chemical means, and also provides facilities for instantaneous viewing of the finished product. It is a component of a radar mapping recording set.

LAMP,PHOTOFLASH

An item which produces a single brilliant flash of light following the ignition of an illumination agent. See also LAMP UNIT, PHOTOFLASH.

BLEACH,PHOTOGRAPHIC

A chemical substance which, when in solution, converts the silver image to a silver salt.

CLEARING BATH,PHOTOGRAPHIC

A chemical substance which when in solution, removes dye or stain from negatives or prints without altering the image or base.

DRYING AGENT,PHOTOGRAPHIC

A chemical substance used to accelerate the drying of photographic film, plates, or prints. SOMETIMES A HARDENER IS ADDED TO THE DRYING AGENT TO COMBINE THE DRYING AND HARDENING PROCESSES.

FIXING BATH,PHOTOGRAPHIC

A chemical substance which forms a fixing bath solution to prevent injury to the silver image by the undeveloped sensitive salts left over from the developing process. Does not include FIXER, X-RAY FILM PROCESSING.

HARDENER,PHOTOGRAPHIC

A chemical substance which is generally used in processing film, plates, or prints where the temperature is above 70 degrees Fahrenheit (21.11 degrees Celcius). Its purpose is to harden the gelatin of the emulsion to prevent swelling or softening.

HYPO ELIMINATOR,PHOTOGRAPHIC

A chemical substance which forms a hypo eliminator solution. It is used to remove the fixing bath agent or hypo remaining on the emulsion.

INTENSIFIER,PHOTOGRAPHIC

A chemical substance used to increase the density and contrast of a processed photographic image.

POLISH,FERROTYPE,PHOTOGRAPHIC

A chemical substance used to clean and polish the surface of enameled or chromium-plated metal sheets or drums used to press (squeegee) photographic prints for drying.

REDUCER,PHOTOGRAPHIC CHEMICAL

A chemical substance used in photographic processing to reduce the density of the silver image.

REPLENISHER,DEVELOPER,PHOTOGRAPHIC

A chemical used to reactivate a processing solution to its original working strength and volume. It does not include REPLENISHER, X-RAY FILM PROCESSING.

STOP BATH,PHOTOGRAPHIC

A chemical solution in which film and/or paper is placed following developement and preceding fixing, to neutralize the developer and stop development immediately.

WASH ADDITIVE,PHOTOGRAPHIC

A concentrate of nonspecific chemical composition formulated to be added to the wash solution to speed up the washing of exposed photographic film or paper, by reducing the sodium hyposulphite affinity for emulsions or paper fiber.

COVER,FILM SLIDE,PHOTOGRAPHIC

A sheet of clear glass, acetate or other material, free from flaws or imperfections, used in combination as a protective covering for film transparencies.

WETTING AGENT

An organic surface-active chemical which facilitates the wetting of a substance by virtue of its ability to lower the interfacial tension between a liquid and the material to be wetted. It may have cleansing properties by reason of its ability to wet, and to emulsify or disperse soil. It includes detergents, emulsifiers, penetrants and dispersing agents. Do not use for compounded detergents built around wetting agents, as defined above. When of a single specific chemical, use specific chemical name. Excludes DETERGENT, LAUNDRY and SOAP (as modified).

PAPER,PHOTOGRAPHIC

A sheet or roll of paper bearing a silver salt emulsion coating which, when exposed to a light source and then given a wet or dry chemical process treatment, produces a visible image. The paper is designed for line copy and/or continuous tone reproduction with the image appearing in black and white or color.

TISSUE,DRY MOUNTING,PHOTOGRAPHIC

A thin, transparent sheet of paper, impregnated with shellac or resin coated, for use in attaching prints to album leaves or mounting boards by application of heat.

PLATE,PHOTOGRAPHIC

A sheet of glass, metal, or stiff plastic bearing a silver salt emulsion coating which, when exposed to a light source and a chemical treatment, produces a visible black and white or color image. It may be designed in size and form to be projected.

MOUNT,FILM SLIDE,PHOTOGRAPHIC

An item designed for mounting film transparencies for use in slide projectors.

A thin flexible strip or roll of unsensitized film used at the beginning or end of a roll of film for leading or threading film through motion picture projectors or film-processing equipment.

A paper or cardboard with die-cut openings sized for film transparencies and used in masking the film between glass for projection.

A paper or cardboard, usually with various sized die-cut openings, used in blocking out part of the photographic image on a lantern slide, usually the edges.

A chemical solution used to treat finished photographic prints. The solution is designed to alter or vary the tone of the silver image for shade effects.

A self-contained roll of light-sensitive material and developer that will produce, after exposure, a fully developed print or transparency within a specific time. This self-contained processing picture roll uses the diffusion transfer method with a reagent between the negative and positive. The reproduction may appear in black and white or color.

RETOUCHING FLUID,PHOTOGRAPHIC

A fluid used on photographic negatives to provide a base for alterations which are made with either a pen or a pencil.

STRIPPING SOLUTION,WET PLATE NEGATIVE

A colorless cellulosic type solution used to both protect and strip, in one operation, the exposed emulsion from photographic plates in the wet-plate process.

It may make either a direct positive reproduction, or a negative from a positive original, or a positive from a negative original. PAPER,COPYING,DUAL SPECTRUM PROCESS

A coated heat-sensitive receptor paper which when placed in contact with a previously exposed intermediate paper, and heat is applied for a controlled period of time at a predetermined temperature and pressure, reproduces a copy of the original.

PAPER,COPYING,DYE TRANSFER PROCESS

A gelatin coated paper specifically prepared to receive dye impressions, thus forming a print in natural color as the end result of a dye transfer process.

PAPER,COPYING,STABILIZATION PROCESS

A photo sensitive paper which when exposed to a light source, passed through an activating solution, and then through a stabilizing solution, reproduces copy from an original.

PAPER,INTERMEDIATE,DUAL SPECTRUM PROCESS

A light-sensitive intermediate paper which, when placed in contact with an original and exposed to a light source, forms a latent image of the original in its coating. The latent image is transferred to the copy (receptor) paper by means of pressure and heat.

PAPER,MATRIX,DYE TRANSFER PROCESS

A light-sensitive, dye coated, negative paper or matrix which, when exposed to a light source, and passed through an activation solution, reproduces copy from an original on absorbent bond paper.

PAPER SET,COPYING,DIFFUSION TRANSFER PROCESS

An item consisting of chemically treated negative and positive sheets of paper. The negative sheet, when exposed to a light source, produces a negative of the original. The negative and the positive sheets of paper are passed through a developing solution and then pressed together to form the final image. The positive sheet of paper is the copy.

PAPER,COPYING,DIAZO PROCESS

A chemically coated paper which, when exposed to a light source and passed through a liquid, vapor spray, or thermal developing process, reproduces copy from a translucent original.

DEVELOPING SOLUTION,DIFFUSION TRANSFER PROCESS

A chemical agent which develops the negative and positive sheets of the paper to form a visible image.

DEVELOPING SOLUTION,DIRECT ELECTROSTATIC PROCESS

A chemical agent which fuses the toner powder onto the paper, thus making the image permanent.

DEVELOPING SOLUTION,DYE TRANSFER PROCESS

A chemical agent which activates the matrix, allowing the dye to be transferred to the copy paper.

DEVELOPING SOLUTION,STABILIZATION PROCESS

A chemical agent which activates or develops the paper prior to stabilization.

FILM,PHOTOGRAPHIC

A flexible plastic material in roll or sheet form bearing a coating which, when exposed to a light source and then given a chemical treatment, produces a visible black and white or color image. The roll film may come with or without perforations, sound track, leader, and/or trailer. The sheet film may be cut in sizes that can be easily handled one sheet at a time, or prepared in pack form where a quantity of sheets are enclosed in a pocket so designed that individual exposures can be made by removing tabbed shields. Photographic film may be used for, but not be limited to aerial photography, motion picutre, microfilm, graphic arts, portrait, reproductions, and the like.

TAPE,SPLICING,PHOTOGRAPHIC

A pressure sensitive or heat activated splicing tape for use in joining ends of photographic film or photographic paper. May consist of rolls or individually precut strips. Excludes TAPE, PRESSURE SENSITIVE ADHESIVE and other TAPE (as modified).

LAMP UNIT,PHOTOFLASH

An item which consists of two or more LAMP, PHOTOFLASH enclosed in a common housing.

STABILIZER KIT,PHOTOGRAPHIC
